Description
Once your homemade ghee is strained (see our recipe), you need somewhere to keep it. A clean, dry lidded jar stored away from light keeps ghee for several weeks outside the fridge. This 700 ml glazed ceramic jar (about 10 cm across and 10.5 cm high, 675 g) is designed for that kind of everyday use, as well as for salt, sugar or a spice blend.
Its lid has a notch so a small spoon can stay in place (spoon not included), and two short handles make it easy to hold. Three blue-on-cream painted patterns are available; the finish varies a little from jar to jar.
Two honest notes: the lid simply rests on top and is not airtight, which is fine for ghee but not for foods that need a seal; and the manufacturer’s sheet does not mention a European food-contact compliance certificate. Always use a clean, dry spoon and hand-wash the jar in hot soapy water before first use.
