What we collect

Nothing that identifies you when you simply browse. The site requires no account and sets no advertising cookies. No third-party tracker is loaded without your consent: only the Google Analytics audience measurement described below, if you accept it.

Buying a digital practical guide

If you buy a practical guide, payment is handled by Stripe on its own pages: we receive your email address, your name and the amount, used for the receipt, any refund and our accounts (kept for 10 years). No marketing without your consent.

1-click buying

After you buy a guide, a purchase-recognition cookie (“fx1c”) is set on your device. It only holds a signed Stripe customer identifier, no card data. Purpose: offering you 1-click buying with the card kept by Stripe during your payment (as stated on the payment page). Duration: 13 months. It is not used for analytics or advertising. You can delete it in your browser and ask at any time for the saved card to be deleted from Stripe at admin@tech-bharat.com.

Audience and sales measurement (Google Analytics 4)

If you click “Accept” in the banner, we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd) to measure the site's traffic and sales: pages viewed, where visits come from, add to cart, start of checkout and purchases (amount and item, without your contact details). Google measurement cookies are then set. Nothing is loaded or stored until you accept; “Decline” is as easy as “Accept”. Google Analytics 4 does not store your IP address. Your choice is kept for 6 months in your browser (local storage). Legal basis: your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR and the ePrivacy rules). You can withdraw or change your choice at any time with the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of every page.

Email list (newsletter, free guide and Ayurveda tips)

If you sign up for our newsletter (or request our free guide) and tick the consent box, we store: your email address, the date and exact wording of the consent you gave, the page where you signed up, and a truncated, salted hash of your IP address (never the address itself). This data lives in our own database, is used for one purpose only — sending you the welcome guide and the newsletter (at most one email a week, with an unsubscribe link in each) — and is never sold, rented or shared with anyone.

You can opt out at any time: every email we send includes a working unsubscribe link, and you can also write to admin@tech-bharat.com to unsubscribe or have your data permanently deleted. Opt-out requests are honored within 10 business days at the latest, as required by the US CAN-SPAM Act, and deletion requests are honored just as promptly.

Being put in touch with partner professionals

If you fill in the “Would you rather work with a professional?” form (consultation with an Ayurvedic practitioner, abhyanga massage or retreat) and tick the consent box, which is separate and never pre-ticked, we store: your request, your city, ZIP/postcode and country (or your choice of an online session), your timing, the rough budget of a retreat if you give one, your name, email address and phone number, your practical notes, the page you came from, and the exact wording and date of your consent. Purpose: putting you in touch with partner professionals. Recipients: up to three partner professionals in the category you asked for (Ayurvedic practitioners, massage therapists, Ayurvedic retreat centers), who may contact you about your request by phone call, text message or email, including by automated means; we may be paid by the professional for this introduction. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Retention: at most 3 years after your last request, then deletion. We never ask for health information; please do not include any in the free-text field. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to admin@tech-bharat.com: we then stop passing your request on and delete your data, and professionals who already received it must stop contacting you if you ask them to.

Orders placed in the shop

If you order an item from our shop, we process the data needed to fulfil the order: items and amount, email address, name, shipping address and phone number if you provide one. Payment is handled by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd) on its own secure pages: we never see or store your card number, and Stripe processes your data under its own privacy policy. Your name, shipping address and, where given, phone number are passed to our fulfilment partner and the carrier for the sole purpose of preparing and delivering the parcel. Your cart is kept in your browser (local storage, no cookie) until you check out. Order and invoicing data are kept for 10 years, the statutory retention period for accounting records under French law; they are never used for marketing without your consent.
