Description

A yoga block “brings the floor closer”: you place it under a hand in a forward bend, under your seat in a sitting pose or under your back for a gentle opening. It is the simplest way to adapt a posture to how your body feels that day instead of forcing; our yoga-by-dosha guide explains how to tailor your practice to your constitution.

This one is a high-density EVA foam brick measuring 23 × 15 × 7.5 cm and weighing 200 g, with a matte, slightly velvety finish and a mandala printed on one face. The foam is light and does not slide on a mat, but it compresses more than a cork block: it is well suited to support and balance, less so to carrying your full body weight on a small area.

Wipe it clean with a damp sponge. The block is sold individually; for some seated poses two blocks are more comfortable.

Frequently asked questions

Foam or cork?

EVA foam is lighter, softer under the knees and cheaper; cork is firmer and steadier when your whole weight rests on the block.

Do I need two?

One is enough for most adjustments. Two help with raised seated poses or when both hands need support.
