Description
Burning a good incense with the window ajar is a simple cue to mark the start of a meditation or the end of the day; our incense guide explains how to choose it and use it in moderation. You still need a holder that catches the ash neatly.
This handmade ceramic bowl, 13 cm in diameter and 6 cm high, has a flared shape on a small foot, with a matte, visibly grained glaze in white or black. To stand an incense stick, fill the bottom with fine sand, uncooked rice or ash (not included): the stick stays upright and its ash falls into the bowl. It also takes a cone placed on the bottom. Each piece is shaped by hand, so the glaze may vary slightly.
Place it on a stable surface, away from curtains and out of reach of children and pets, never leave incense burning unattended and air the room afterwards. Incense is not recommended for people with asthma.
