Description

Your skin is still warm and damp after the shower: that is the moment to scrub with long strokes, from ankles towards the heart. The kessa, the rough mitt of the hammam, does that work; our garshana glove guide explains how this wet scrub differs from the dry rubbing of the Ayurvedic tradition.

Why you will like it

  • Textured kessa-style fabric for a thorough scrub
  • Elastic cuff that stays on your hand
  • Loop to hang it up to dry

Go gently the first time: a kessa is more abrasive than a washcloth. Avoid the face, irritated areas and broken skin, and leave a few days between sessions. Rinse it and hang it to dry after each use.

Delivered in 8 to 15 working days with tracking, free from €39; 14-day right of withdrawal; identified seller (Clem corp, admin@tech-bharat.com).

Frequently asked questions

Is it a garshana glove?

No. Traditional garshana is done dry with a raw silk glove; a kessa is used on wet skin. Our guide compares the two.

How often should I use it?

Once a week suits most skin; stop if redness persists.
